To apply for the Master's programme in Product Development and Innovation you need a relevant Bachelor's degree. You can also apply if you hold a similar degree. Once you have applied, the faculty will perform an assessment of your degree. To be considered, your degree must include a minimum of: 30 ECTS of broad introduction to the product development process, 20 ECTS of thorough introduction to CAD systems, materials and manufacturing processes, 25 ECTS of broad introduction to engineering subjects such as robotics, sensors, electronics and project management, 15 ECTS of Introduction to business processes. If your degree does not fulfill the entry requirements, the study board will decide whether you can follow one or more supplementary courses.

Product Value Creation
The specialisation in Product Value Creation will focus on value creation in products and global product development processes. The development of new products with the inclusion of the user (and user interaction) and customer needs is also an important element of the study programme.
With this study programme you will qualify to perform key tasks in connection with the execution and management of innovative product development processes. Persons holding a bachelor of engineering degree in Product Development and Innovation have direct access to this profile, as do persons holding a bachelor of engineering degree in Integrated Design, Mechanical Engineering or similar studies.
Product Value Creation will be developed in close collaboration with the research field 'Experience Design'.
Technology Entrepreneurship and Business Development
The specialisation in Technology Entrepreneurship and Business Development is offered from September 2016.
This new profile offers a rare combination of technology entrepreneurship and business development skills and competences which are highly relevant in the context of both new technology startups and existing firms. The description combination of courses, project work and involvement in the SDU entrepreneurial ecosystem will provide a competitive advantage for students on the job market or as founders of new technology-based firms.
Sustainable Product Development
The specialisation in Sustainable Product Development is offered from September 2016.
The sustainable product development study line enables engineers to engage in product development with a strong background with regards to numerous aspects of sustainability. This study line further allows the engineer to understand and deploy necessary tools to address sustainability issues.
