Entry requirements

You should have a minimum of an upper-second (2.1) class Honours degree from a UK university or its equivalent from an accredited institution elsewhere. We normally only accept applicants who have a degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, such as Information Systems or Engineering.

Course content

A one-year programme of taught coursework, project and dissertation, assessed by examination and portfolio. The course covers advanced artificial intelligence, networking and distributed systems and software engineering. All MSc students are initially enrolled for the MSc in Advanced Computer Science and study a common curriculum in the first four months. After the first semester students may focus on one of the specialized degrees: MSc in Artificial Intelligence, MSc in Networks and Distributed Systems and MSc in Software Engineering, or can continue the MSc in Advanced Computer Science.
Students enrolled on specialized degrees must undertake projects in their chosen areas of specialization.
