Major research interests centre around 3 associated institutes: Fraser Allander Institute, Centre for Macroeconomic Modelling and Developing Countries Research Unit. Department plays a leading role in the Scottish Postgraduate Economics Programme, comprising an instructional Masters degree in Economics at Edinburgh University, leading to Doctoral research study at Strathclyde and other Scottish universities.
