A teaching qualification and registration (or eligibility for registration) with the General Teaching Council for Scotland will normally be required, together with at least one year’s professional experience.

This part-time Masters level course in Supporting Teacher Learning is an exciting and timely addition to the School of Education’s postgraduate provision, following closely on the publication of Teaching Scotland’s Future: (‘the Donaldson Report’).
The course draws on the teaching, research and consultancy experience of its staff in providing a challenging and stimulating Postgraduate Certificate course which will enable participants to improve their own and their establishment’s practice in supporting teacher professional learning, ultimately impacting on pupil achievement. The new course is aimed at those involved in the support of teacher professional learning at all stages of a teacher’s career, including: student and probationer mentors, CPD coordinators, PRD reviewers, school leaders, local authority officers with responsibility for CPD and/or probationer and leadership development.
