Course content

The School of Government and Public Policy has a long history of international research excellence. Strathclyde is one of the founding members of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR), the largest organisation of its kind in European political science. Politics and International Relations at Strathclyde attained the distinction of a top ‘5’ rating in four successive UK Research Assessment Exercises. The School is recipient of a number of prestigious research grants from major national and international funding bodies.

As a research institute with unrivalled expertise, our European Policies Research Centrehas specialised in regional and industrial development in Europe for over 30 years.

As the first of its kind within European universities, our Centre for the Study of Public Policy specialises in comparative research on the growth of government, elections and democratization, welfare and social capital.
