Entry requirements

Students need the following to apply:

  • Undergraduate (or Masters) degree in a relevant subject – for example law, engineering, surveying, construction, economics
  • At least two years’ work experience in a relevant field – for example architecture, law, civil engineering, real estate engineering and management

Candidates who don’t have the above experience can apply but their application will be subject to review by the programme director.

Candidates also need to send over a copy of their CV including details of any additional qualifications / continuing professional development, and all previous employers (with dates and roles of employment).

Course content

The University of Stuttgart is delighted to bring you this International Construction Practice and Law Masters degree. Covering numerous legal, regulatory and contractual aspects of international construction, this programme is taught at the highest level of academic standards with a strong focus on practical construction examples.

Lectures are taught in English and the course is designed for international students from any country.
The programme is tailored to meet the needs of postgraduate professionals and enables you to complete your studies while in full-time employment or located on the construction site. Lectures are held once every month from Thursday to Saturday or if you are unable to attend in person you may attend the weekends 'virtually' instead as the lectures will be streamed live. Lectures are held by internationally renowned academic and professional experts.
Graduates will be able to analyse award procedures and construction processes, to understand complicated construction law and to use this knowledge in their day-to-day operations.
Although, this course starts in May, the application deadline is the 15th January 2018.

Information for international students

If English is not your first language and you have not studied in English before, we need you to complete an English language test: minimum 550 TOEFL PBT, 213 TOEFL CBT, 80 TOEFL iBT, 6.0 IELTS.
