Entry requirements

Have a Bachelors Honours degree 2:2 from a UK university or other recognised degree-awarding body, or a qualification at equivalent level. Applicants without this qualification, but who have substantial relevant professional experience, may also be considered. Have access to practice. The “access to practice” criteria are: 1. Access to teaching and/or supporting teaching and learning in a relevant statutory, private, voluntary and/or independent setting with a direct responsibility for learning within their educational setting; 2. Students will be required to complete at least 225 hours in practice while on the course. An applicant whose first language is not English will be required to produce evidence of their competence in the English language in accordance with the Institution’s Admissions Policy, (IELTS score to 6.5).

Offers a choice of routes for practising professionals and managers in educational settings. Masters level study is viewed by many as being essential for career progression and supports professional development in education and related fields. This course provides the opportunity to develop knowledge and understanding of the current landscape in education and engage with wider theories and issues. Students will develop critical thinking and hone higher level skills.
