Course content

International trade is essential for every economy in the world. Around every successful multinational corporation is a framework of detailed commercial legislation, which allows companies and nations to trade smoothly and legally with one another. By studying Commercial Law and International Trade you will develop an advanced understanding of the legal structures which govern international commerce.

As a University of Sunderland postgraduate student you will have access to excellent law facilities, including mooting and debating, client interviewing and membership of the Law Society. You will also have access to the Sunderland Student Law Clinic, a professionally supervised service, offering free legal advice and assistance to the general public. This, together with organised visits by graduates now working as solicitors, barristers and other law professionals, will assist you in developing the professional networks you need to advance your career.
