This degree recognises the significant role that archaeology and heritage professionals play in knowledge production. In building up a portfolio of unpublished work through professional projects the student indicates a record of achievement at a high professional level. The portfolio is supported by two chapters which introduces the portfolio and places it in its professional context and a concluding chapter which provides an account of the portfolio's academic context. The construction of the portfolio and the two chapters is assisted by a supervision board which meets at regular intervals.
