Entry requirements

Applicants must be over 21 years of age and possess one or more of the following: 1. A recognised Honours degree or equivalent 2. A professional qualification 3. The Institutes Diploma in Business Administration 4. Applicants over 25 years of age and with the above criteria may be admitted to the course depending on their professional or managerial experience. (Applicants who have been awarded a Diploma in Business Administration at Distinction level, or an equivalent postgraduate, post experience Management Diploma at credit level may be admitted with exemption from modules in Part 1)

Course content

Swansea Business School (SBS) has delivered its MBA programme to students from around the world for over twenty years. The MBA is a globally-recognised, professional management qualification which enhances the skills and competencies of experienced managers and recent graduates a like. Throughout the programme you will develop your managerial decision making skills and in-depth knowledge in areas such as Human Resources, Financial Management and Marketing Management.

All students will undertake four compulsory modules in part 1 of the programme. Individuals that work, or plan to work, in the Education sector have the opportunity to specialise in Education Management by choosing optional modules in ‘Leadership and Management in Education’ and ‘Implementing Coaching and Mentoring’. Students on the standard MBA programme may choose two alternative modules.

Throughout the programme you will have the opportunity to learn from friendly, experience and practice-led tutors who will guide you through every step of the programme. You will also join a learning community that will become a business network for life.

Tutors on the MBA programme arrange organisational visits and guest lectures, in liaison with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), these activities provide opportunities for networking and the practical application of knowledge.

Online MBA

If you wish, you can study for your MBA entirely online. Our eMBA provides access to our existing full time MBA programme but with the flexibility of continuing with your existing employment and lifestyle. There are no attendance requirements for the online MBA so you can choose to study from anywhere in the world continuing your professional and also your personal commitments without interruption.

The University of Wales Trinity Saint David has significant experience of supporting learners at a distance. As an online learner on the MBA you will benefit from a programme of study that is designed to be relevant to your current work. The programme will engage you regularly with other MBA students as well as you tutors. You will be learning with other people in different locations and in different business contexts, giving you an opportunity to experience a range of different perspectives.
