Course content

The department also has a fast developing postgraduate student body, both residential and working at a distance, the latter's growth a reflection of our strong commitment to reaching students beyond the immediate campus. Thus as well as the traditional, campus-based Research and Master's degrees, the department offers its PhD, MPhil and two of its MA's at a distance, as well as Postgraduate Licences in Greek and Latin. Since 1994, the Department has also run a highly successful Summer School in Greek and Latin, during which small-group tuition is provided in both Greek and Latin at beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.
