Entry requirements

Although normally a good BSc (2.i or above) and an MSc are required, applications are considered on a case by case basis. Overall IELTS score of 6.5 and component scores. The Centre for Scientific Computing requires two references with your application rather than the university standard of one.

Course content

At the CSC, we offer research opportunities at the PhD level. You would work with one of our academics on a subject of current research associated with scientific computing. Normally, a PhD will run for 3-4 years and you will need to partcipate in research, present your results to your peers at conferences and in scientific journals and write a research thesis.
