Course content

Good communication can change the world. Are you interested in becoming an adept communicator between different nations or cultures, seeking a course which combines theoretical study with active translation work and creative writing?

This innovative and interdisciplinary programme examines translation between English and either French, German or Italian in a cultural context. You will cover a range of translation theory and practice, language and writing in your core and optional modules.

You will develop excellent communication and critical skills, and will be well qualified to seek out work in the field of linguistic and cultural mediation, such as translation, publishing, or the media. You’ll also be strongly positioned to take on further study and applied research.
