Course content
Designed for future engineers, technologists and innovators, learn how to design, implement, and manage next-generation industrial systems with our MSc Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
The course offers a hardware-focused curriculum to give you hands-on experience with the physical technologies driving Industry 4.0 (the Fourth Industrial Revolution).
You will explore how intelligent systems connect machines, data, and people to drive innovation and sustainability across various industries, including manufacturing, energy, transportation, agriculture, automotive, and healthcare.
Through lab sessions, real-world case studies, and collaborative projects, you will gain practical experience with advanced industrial tools while developing skills in critical thinking, problem-solving and teamwork.
You will also have the opportunity to design an IIoT application tailored to a specific community or region, taking into account local infrastructure, economic conditions, cultural context, and ethical considerations.
Aligned with UNESCO’s Key Competencies for Sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the course has an emphasis on responsible and future-focused innovation.
With companies investing heavily in IIoT to gain a competitive edge, graduates with specialised IIoT knowledge will be ideally positioned to fill these positions and build a successful career.
