Entry requirements

You will need a UK Honour's Degree, or equivalent, in Computing or Healthcare Science subject area with at least a 2:2.

Applicants with equivalent professional qualifications, or a relevant Higher National Diploma (HND) will be considered, provided they can demonstrate significant, relevant work experience and the ability to benefit fully from the course. Such applicants will be considered on an individual basis by interview.

Some optional modules may not be available to students without a first degree in computing.

This course is ideal for graduates who have an analytical and inquisitive mind and want to work in a role that encompasses computing and biology, medicine, or healthcare.

Our school of School of Computing and Engineering has developed partnerships with companies such as Amazon to allow our students to gain vital industry skills in:

  • integration with big data
  • cloud computing
  • cybersecurity.
This course has been structured with the modern healthcare sector in mind, providing you with the opportunity to gain comprehensive Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills required by the industry.
Through this course you will develop a professional outlook concerned with the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology helping to support and improve health and healthcare delivery.

Information for international students

International students need to meet our English language requirement at either IELTS at 6.5 or above, and a minimum of 5.5 for each of the 4 individual components (Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening).

Fees and funding

Please note fees are paid for each year of study unless otherwise stated. You will be required to re-enrol and pay fees at the beginning of each academic year. Fees may be subject to government regulations on fee increases. Future inflationary increases will be applied to each subsequent year of the course, subject to government regulations on fee increases.
