Entry requirements

You should have an honours degree from a UK university or equivalent that includes law content.

If you have at least three years of legal or relevant commercial work experience you will also be considered subject to an interview.

We may also offer you a place based on relevant experience or training, normally from within the work environment.

All applications are considered individually.

Course content

Our course will introduce you to the theory and practice of international business regulation in the context of globalisation.

Career options

Many graduates go on to successful careers with global corporations, multinational law firms and international consultants. London is the centre for global banking, finance and trade, so you will be well placed to take advantage of our excellent links with major corporations.

Course overview

Our course focuses on international business law from a global perspective, identifying key characteristics of doing business in an international environment, main sources of regulation, and key concepts of contract, commercial and corporate law.

You will also be introduced to international commercial litigation and arbitration. You will explore the concepts of corporate social responsibility, in particular, doing business in a fast-moving globalised economy. The course also gives students an appreciation of the key financial and shipping law concepts giving you a critical comparative law approach to international commercial law. This LLM is designed to meet the needs of students and lawyers who wish to study commercial law from an international perspective.
