You will need: A minimum classification of 2.1 in a first degree (or equivalent); and, preferably, A Masters degree (or Masters degree pending); and (if English is not your first language) Appropriate English Language qualifications (you will normally be required to achieve minimum IELTS scores of 6.5 or equivalent). You will also need to have the commitment and motivation to undertake a sustained programme of independent and self-directed study and training as a researcher.

Operations and strategic management; the impact of ICT on operations; on-line learning and assessment; supply chain management; decision support systems and expert systems; knowledge management; e-government; complexity and information systems; the applications of social media and information systems for sustainability; socio-technical issues; and social approaches to the use and development of web applications.
We hold monthly research seminars as well as a doctoral colloquium where students present their work and receive feedback from senior researchers in addition to their own supervisory team.
Information for international students
If English is not your first language you must demonstrate English language skills to the equivalent of IELTS 6.5 at commencement. We will then expect you to undertake courses to develop your English language competence to the equivalent of IELTS 7.0 in your first year of study.
