Entry requirements

You should have a good Honours degree or equivalent in a subject other than law and a Certificate of Academic Standing which can be obtained from the Law Society There is normally no restriction on the subject matter of your degree Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives and holders of the Diploma in Magasterial Law are also eligible You should also have a good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent)

Course content

Approved by the Common Professional Examinations Board on behalf of the Law Society and Bar Council, this course covers the core subjects in law which exempts Law graduates from Part One of the Law Society and Bar examinations and acts as an alternative to a Law degree. The course includes an intensive induction programme designed to introduce techniques for the study of law and to provide a background context for the core subjects.
