Course content

This undergraduate level 6 module aims to develop your underpinning knowledge and skills to prepare you to study nutritional therapy at Master’s level if your HE qualification does not meet our entry requirements.

It is also suitable for healthcare professionals who want to study nutrition and its application to their current practice.

The module will allow you to develop your knowledge of nutrients and their effects on human physiology and cell biochemistry. You will also learn about current dietary guidelines and the implications of selected dietary changes to health.

Information for international students

If your previous undergraduate study was not delivered and assessed in English, you will need to have achieved IELTS at 6.0 or above, with a minimum of 5.5 in each area before being admitted onto the module. Other English language qualifications will be considered.
