Students will normally need: a good degree (UK 2.1 or above, USA grade point average 3.2 or above, China average degree score 80 or above); or a teacher training qualification from a recognised University/College; or formal evidence of teaching experience and teaching experience of approximately 3 years. If you are a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability. You need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course you're applying to.

This Masters course in Teaching English to Young Learners (MA in TEYL) is a two-year part-time professional development distance learning programme delivered by the Department of Education, University of York, UK.
The MA in TEYL distance programme is a full Masters Degree course and successful participants will be awarded the degree from the University of York on satisfactory completion of all module assignments.
