Event details

Research into fusion is entering an exciting new era, with several large facilities aiming to achieve the crucial milestone of net energy gain.

Join us at either our online or in person open afternoon to learn more about our exciting MSc Fusion Energy course. On this course you’ll gain a firm foundation in fusion physics preparing you for a PhD in fusion energy or for employment in fusion laboratories, and a wide range of industries.

You’ll be introduced to the skills in computational and experimental plasma physics and conduct cutting-edge research under the guidance of physicists at the York Plasma Institute. Here you will be able to access state-of-the art data analysis techniques and equipment, in purpose-built teaching, research and laboratory spaces.

Our research is ranked 13th in the UK according to the Times Higher Education’s ranking of the latest REF results (2021); and our research environment – the support we give our researchers – is ranked fifth.
