Entry Requirements:

• Option 1: 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) + 2 years relevant work experience
• Option 2: At least 2 years relevant work experience

You can transfer up to 60 credits (except for Research Development and Capstone Project modules). Review our recognition of prior learning process, contact the Enrolment Team, and submit the required form with your application.

International qualifications are accepted with evidence of equivalency (usually ECCTIS/UK ENIC).

English proficiency required (unless you’ve studied in English at a suitable level):

• IELTS: 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in each area)
• TOEFL iBT: 88 overall (with minimum section scores)
• Trinity ISE II: Distinction in all skills (valid 2 years)
• Cambridge CPE/CAE: 176 overall (minimum 169 per area)

Course content

The Walbrook MBA in Banking and Finance is designed for professionals aiming for leadership roles in banks and financial institutions. The programme delivers advanced knowledge in areas such as international finance, risk management, investments, and corporate growth, alongside essential strategic, analytical, and leadership skills. You’ll learn to navigate international markets, analyse and manage risk, develop investment strategies, and understand how financial markets operate. Additionally, you’ll gain crucial business skills in leadership, marketing, and HRM, preparing you to lead financial teams and drive success in today’s complex global market.

Core modules include Corporate Finance, International Finance Management, Environmental Focus, Strategy and Implementation, Change Management, Marketing Communication, Agile HR, Financial and Business Intelligence, and Research Methods and Project. Upon graduation, you’ll be prepared for senior roles such as Bank Manager, Financial Risk Manager, Investment Strategy Lead, Corporate Banking Director, or Chief Financial Officer. The programme offers flexible entry, with both UK and international students able to start on the first Monday of any month from July 2025.
