Course content

WHU - Otto Beisheim School of Management offers a Master in Management and a Master in Finance. Both programs are designed for high-achieving candidates from around the world with an undergraduate degree in a business-related field of study. Rewarding their graduates with a Master of Science degree, the programs combine academic rigor with practical relevance and a global perspective, preparing students for a career around the globe and across multiple industries and functional areas.

As consecutive business science degrees, the Master of Science programs address recent graduates with a first academic degree in a business-related field of studies. In these full-time English-language programs which last 17 or 21 months, students can gain unique opportunities to develop expertise in all areas of business administration, finance, and management. In the Master in Management, they can customize their study program and specialize in one of the six concentration areas which are part of the curriculum. In the Master in Finance, they specialize by default in the field of finance by having to choose 8 modules from this field. In addition, the program's participants can accumulate practical and international experience, both of which are of immense importance in today’s business world.

Candidates can choose between one shorter track of 90 ECTS (17 months) and a longer one of 120 ECTS (21 months). While both tracks include an internship, the longer one also comprises a study abroad semester at one of WHU's more than 200 partner universities. The short track candidates will instead participate in an international Capstone module, while the other ones will do theirs in Germany.

In the 2015 Financial Times Masters in Management Ranking, WHU's Master in Management ranked #8 in global comparison, making it the #1 program in Germany once again. WHU garnered particularly outstanding ratings for its Career Center which was ranked in first place worldwide for the fifth time. In terms of weighted salary, the WHU program is again ranked #2 worldwide and achieved the #1 rank on placement success for the fifth time in a row.

The same support, which enables students from the Master in Management Program to have success in their professional life, is also offered in our Master in Finance Program which started in fall 2013 but has not been ranked yet due to its shorter history. We invite all interested students to learn more about our Programs and encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
