Entry requirements
The Admissions Board will consider applicants who meet the minimum general entrance requirements, which are:
- A first degree
- Or the highest grade Certificate of Competency for unrestricted service as a master mariner or chief engineer.
- Non-graduates with approved professional qualifications or who have sufficient professional experience may also be considered.
- Competence in English is required, as evidenced by a standard, internationally acceptable examination of English.

This Postgraduate Diploma in Marine Insurance will boost your ability to address, analyse and solve insurance problems, looking at matters from the perspective of assurers or underwriters. Upon completion you will be able to confidently advise clients and underwriters on points of principle and policy wordings.
