Applicants will normally hold a first degree in a relevant discipline but applications are equally welcomed from individuals with extensive industrial experience. The course may be studied on a full-time or part-time basis and the latter may appeal to experienced middle manager working in industry.

Course contentThis course combines theory, practical experience and industrial engagement alongside development of interpersonal and communication skills. It focuses on: strategic, policy, planning and delivery issues within a landscape context. The interdisciplinary and holistic nature of the management of landscape; issues of lifestyle, consumption and culture as they affect peoples lives and the choices they make when using landscapes; the diversity that prevails within the management of landscape in relation to stakeholders such as consumers, employees, organisations and government and external agencies. Core modules include: Landscape Resource Management, Landscape Theories, Landscape Ecology and Landscape and Environmental Assessment.
Information for international students
An IELTS score of 6.5 is required. There are a range of pre-sessional English language programmes available with further English support classes during term time.
