Course content

The MSc Urban Planning (specialisation in Urban Design) programme allows you to engage in the complex issues of urban space production in the dynamic Chinese context. It considers the interplay between spatial design and social, economic, environmental and political issues evident in a range of urban settings. It is taught across the Departments of Architecture and Urban Planning and Design to ensure that you receive an interdisciplinary perspective on the development of urban form.

The programme is not limited to those with architecture or urban planning backgrounds, rather it is relevant for all interested in understanding the nature and production of spaces. First-class international teaching staff bring with them the best learning methods from some of the most prestigious universities in the world. They offer varied perspectives on Urban Design as a truly interdisciplinary programme.

Graduates of this programme, as with all XJTLU masters degrees, earn a University of Liverpool degree that is recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
