You will be considered for the programme if you have a minimum of a 2:1 bachelor’s degree with honours in a sport and/or science related discipline OR significant prior experience/learning in a relevant context. For example: performance in sport at a professional or elite level; prolonged and extensive experience of working in sport; advanced vocational qualifications relevant to the programme; or accreditation with a relevant professional body.
Months of entry
This is an advanced programme that considers the applied and multi-disciplinary dimensions of sport and exercise science. State-of-the-art laboratory and field based equipment will support you to develop research and sport science support skills. The teaching team have significant research and applied expertise in the subject, but also in terms of innovative approaches to learning and teaching in sport and exercise science. There will also be the opportunity to undertake relevant vocational qualifications and work placement while on the programme. This will be tailored to your needs through working with a tutor and be aligned with the accreditation competencies of the British Association for Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES).
Information for international students
Applicants whose first language is not English should have IELTS at grade 6.5 or above (with no individual skill below 5.5) or an equivalent YSJ approved English Language qualification.
