Course content

This MA programme encourages sustained engagement with the medium of photography within a robust creative community.

Students are supported to develop individual specialist approaches, including landscape, social engagement, studio practice and to enhance existing practical and critical thinking skills through a material-led enquiry. The course offers opportunities to develop live projects as well as studio-based research.

A diverse range of academic tutors and visiting professionals will enrich the experience of the course. The programme structure allows you to focus on your own specialism by undertaking a range of core and specialist projects interwoven with a critical studies programme. These skills will cultivate your attitude towards becoming a more versatile, creative professional photographer. Your practice is supported through an integrated critical studies programme, providing conceptual and philosophical frameworks that directly address concepts of image making and aesthetic experience.
