Entry requirements

A minimum of a 2:1 bachelor’s degree with honours in a sport and/or science related discipline OR significant prior experience/learning in a relevant context. For example: performance in sport at a professional or elite level; prolonged and extensive experience of working in sport; advanced vocational qualifications relevant to the programme; or accreditation with a relevant professional body.

Course content

This programme will support you to develop advanced research, academic and practical skills in strength and conditioning within a high quality, technology enhanced learning and teaching environment. There will also be the opportunity to undertake relevant vocational qualifications and work placement while on the programme. This will be tailored to your needs through working with a tutor and be aligned with the accreditation competencies outlined by the UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA).

Undertaking the Strength and Conditioning MSc programme is a great way to refine your research skills and your practical skills, and all taught in some of the finest teaching facilities in the region. Students also have the opportunity to take appropriate vocational qualifications and work placements as part of the programme.

Information for international students

Applicants whose first language is not English should have IELTS at grade 6.5 or above (with no individual skill below 5.5) or an equivalent YSJ approved English Language qualification.
