Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) is a research and educational institute affiliated to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Zaragoza (UZ). Specialized in logistics and supply chain management, ZLC is the Spanish center of the MIT Global SCALE Network, an international alliance of 6 leading research centers dedicated to the development of supply chain excellence through innovation.

A diverse group of students from around the world study at ZLC on the path to positions in leading companies and universities. Since 2003, more than 3,000 students from over 60 countries have participated in ZLC programs, with 90% employment, working for international companies such as Apple, Amazon, Clariant, MSF, Pfizer, Roche, J&J, PepsiCo and Mckinsey and many others.

Our programs

A diverse group of students from around the world study at ZLC on the path to positions in leading companies and universities. Among its academic activities, ZLC offers Masters degrees ranked number one worldwide, a PhD program, a Summer Academy for PhD students and Executive Education in logistics and supply chain management:

  • Global Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (GSCM)

Students gain a unique exposure by studying in three different continents within three centers of the MIT Global SCALE Network: MIT CTL (USA), ZLC (Spain) and MISI (Malaysia).

  • Full-Time Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG)

The MIT Zaragoza Master in Supply Chain (ZLOG) is a high-quality degree taught in a truly global setting which expertly guides its graduates to become proficient in both problem solving and change leadership. It’s an intensive full-time program that includes 9 months at ZLC Campus in Spain plus three weeks at MIT Campus in USA.

  • Blended Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOGb)

The blended master’s degree allows learners to combine the MITx MicroMasters credential (5 online courses) with a three week stay at MIT and one semester on-campus at Zaragoza Logistics Center in Spain.

  • Dual Degrees with International Business Schools (MBA plus ZLOG)

ZLC offers dual degree programs with international business schools such as IE Business School (Spain), European Business School (Germany), INCAE (Costa Rica), Sabanci University (Turkey), USAT (Peru) and Feng Chia University (Taiwan).

  • Part-time Master in Supply Chain Management (MDSC)

The Master in Supply Chain Management achieves a delicate balance between technical content and tools, such as finance, strategy, leadership, negotiation, economic environment, essential for the management of the supply chain, and management tools. This program is taught in Spanish.

  • PhD in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

An internationally recognized doctoral program that enables students to spend time at MIT as visiting students.

  • Summer Academy for PhD students

Intense period of learning, debating, and discovering the fundamental concepts and recent trends in supply chain over a two week period in June at ZLC campus in Zaragoza.

ZLC organizes customized programs with companies and organizations and open programs over the academic year to professionals, enterprises and consortia.

Location

ZLC Campus is located at “Dinamiza business park”, an area designed as a window into the future for Zaragoza, in a unique area that operates as the city’s economic and leisure motor.

Near the city centre, it occupies a strategical location by the AVE high-speed train station and the main road network, with a connection to the Airport. Also, it has become the economic business centre of Zaragoza where the City of Justice and the Aquarium are located, next to the Convention Centre, parks and sports areas. There are restaurants, hotels and a medical centre, with almost 3,000 employees working in different companies.

Accommodation

Living expenses vary, depending on lifestyle and whether students wish to live alone, with roommates or with a family. The cost of living in Zaragoza is lower than in much of Europe. Currently, a budget of around €400-€600 per month is the norm for single students.

Culture

Spain is significantly cheaper than many other European countries. The people are warm and always ready to help in your wonderful journey ahead. Zaragoza, the fifth largest city in Spain, has all the conveniences of a big city without most of the drawbacks. The tapas experience is certainly unique. Within a 300km radius, you can be in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, or San Sebastián, as well as several low-cost flights to Spanish islands, London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Amsterdam or other great European destinations.
