Prospects.ac.uk is the UK’s official graduate careers website, providing careers advice, jobs and postgraduate courses to students and graduates. Graduate Prospects makes this information available in order to help students and graduates make well informed choices regarding employment opportunities, postgraduate study options and career paths.
Copyright
All copyright is held by Graduate Prospects and AGCAS. You may not copy or distribute any of the content on this site for commercial gain. This information can be used for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided that no attempts are made to remove the identification logos which appear on relevant pages. Changing the pages or using the content in any other product without consent will be considered a breach of our copyright and may result in legal action.

About our services
Prospects.ac.uk has a number of communications channels; Graduate forum, Careers chat live and Rate and review. In order to use these you will need to register for a My Prospects account. All information collected via this website will be used in accordance with our Privacy statement.
About your messages
- Keep your contributions civil, tasteful and relevant. We're committed to providing an atmosphere in which constructive and mature dialogue takes place.
- Be respectful to other users and those who moderate or facilitate online communications.
- No swearing or abusive language.
- Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive, or otherwise objectionable material is not acceptable.
- Avoid writing EVERYTHING IN CAPITAL LETTERS.
- Use appropriate forums for your comments i.e. we have a feedback system for comments and a dedicated chat room and forum for careers advice and chat.
- No advertising or spam
- No HTML or computer script
- Do not include URLs to unsuitable sites – unsuitable includes sexually explicit, racist or sites with other potentially offensive material and those which promote illegal activities or infringe copyright.
- Communicate in English. Messages containing languages other than English will be removed.
- Do not impersonate others. Impersonating someone else is unacceptable.
- Adopting an inappropriate user name (one that is vulgar, offensive, etc.) is also unacceptable.
- For your own personal safety, do not give out personal details such as phone numbers, email addresses, or information about your family or workplace
- Post only career & job related messages. If you post a message, which is not related to graduate careers or recruitment, your message will be removed.
- Out-of-date message board discussions, which are no longer used, will be archived.
- Comments will not be posted if they do not comply with these guidelines.
Graduate Prospects reserves the right to:-
- Modify or reject any comment which does not abide by these guidelines or for any other reason at any time.
- Modify the spelling, grammar and ambiguous words and terms without affecting the meaning of the comments.
- Publish a reply if necessary on behalf of the organisation or any of their partners in respect of any comments.
About your account
- We will collect personal information about you when you register for a My Prospects account. For more information about how we use this data see our Privacy statement.
- All accounts must be registered with a valid personal email address that you access regularly so that moderation emails can be sent to you.
- You may have action taken against you if you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting a service or annoying others.
About the law
- You may not post any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in any of our online communication services, these include Graduate forum, Careers chat live, Rate and Review. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio. Posting a message with the intention of committing an illegal act is strictly prohibited.
- You agree to only post materials to which you have the copyright or other permission to distribute electronically. You must not violate, plagiarise, or infringe on the rights of third parties including copyright, trademark, trade secrets, privacy, personal, publicity, or proprietary rights.
Non-compliance with our Terms of Use
- If you fail to abide by these Terms of Use you will receive a formal warning by email. This warning may include a temporary suspension of your ability to participate in our online communication services. If after this warning you continue to breach theses Terms, you will be permanently prohibited from using our services.
- Posts may be moderated, Prospects.ac.uk reserve the right to delete any posting, at any time, for any reason.
About your privacy
- Prospects.ac.uk will not publish or provide your email address to anyone. Our registration process requires you to supply us with your email details, but we will only use this information to validate your access to our online communication systems.
- From time to time, Prospects.ac.uk staff may contact you in order to obtain feedback on the quality of our online communication systems.
- Your comments are kept confidential. We may use your comments to improve our services. To find out more about our client feedback procedures, please read our Statement of service.
- There may be occasions when Prospects.ac.uk will need to contact you via email to respond to your feedback or comments.
Prospects.ac.uk follow recommendations listed in the 1998 Data Protection Act.
- Prospects.ac.uk does not allow you to send messages to individual users. All messages posted in our online communications are viewable by all users. Therefore, 1-to-1 conversations cannot take place.
Eligibility
Prospects.ac.uk is primarily aimed at graduates from the UK and Ireland, who have graduated from a university or college of higher education in the last five years (this includes those graduating from HND courses). Graduates from EEA countries (EU countries, plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) are also eligible to contribute to our online communication systems, as are current HE students.
