About ASDA

Employing almost 150,000 colleagues and serving over 18 million customers every week, we’re a big business offering big opportunities for graduates here at Asda. Just as much a retail giant, George is the original fashion retail game-changer and the number one lifestyle value brand in the UK. Together, we offer a diverse range of career paths few could imagine, and few can compete with.

Our Buying, Fashion (George), Data Science and Finance graduate programmes are designed to give grads tonnes of exposure to the business and help you build an extensive network of contacts at all levels. You’ll also have tonnes of support in the form of buddies, mentors, external coaching, your line manager and a wide range of professional support networks.

With a minimum of two-three rotations over a two-year period, you’ll get every opportunity to experience the breadth and depth of our business. Early responsibility is a given as you’ll be working on live projects from day one and will be expected to make an impact. As you’ll be working towards a Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification (or CIMA for Finance), this will give you the chance to apply what you’re learning in a real world business environment.

The scope and scale of what you can do at Asda is incredible. There are people here building next generation apps, building robots, designing new data modelling techniques, designing clothes, designing new ways to display them, financing multi-million pound deals and buying millions of pounds worth of products every day.

As a business that evolves at a rapid pace, we’re all about reimagining retail for the future and embracing change. We want our graduates to challenge us – our ideas, our ways of working, the way we use technology and data. Having a voice is a big part of being a graduate at Asda and if you’ve got an idea, we want to hear it.

As a data-driven, tech-enabled, and totally customer-driven business, whatever area you go into at Asda, being comfortable working with data will be essential. Coming from a place of ‘Yes’ is also a great asset – being willing to experience more, learn more, take on more accountability.

The development opportunities here are vast, but it is up to you to take them. A culture of learning runs throughout the business and the internal and external resources are extensive. People can have five or six different careers at Asda if they stick around, and so many do because there’s always something new to discover. Retail is always changing, and that keeps people inspired and motivated. And Asda is a fun, informal, ‘let’s get on and do it’ type of culture, too. It’s important to us to enjoy what we do and share great rewards from it.

For those with curiosity, imagination and determination, developing your career at Asda really does offer endless possibilities. Our vision, our scale and our culture can really take you places. Just imagine what you could do.
