About International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ)

IVHQ has grown to become the world’s leading volunteer travel organisation, working in over 40 destinations around the world and placing thousands of volunteers abroad every year.

We believe in a future where any traveller, anywhere in the world is empowered to make a meaningful difference in the community they are visiting, and we take pride in making this happen.

We’re focused on providing affordable volunteer travel experiences that are responsible, safe and high quality. Our programs heighten global awareness and cultural understanding through the skills and expertise taken by volunteers to their host communities, and through the experiences and lessons that volunteers take back to their own countries and cultures.

Every year, thousands of travelers choose to volunteer abroad with International Volunteer HQ. Why? Because they've worked out that volunteer travel is the best way to travel! Volunteering abroad lets you add meaning to your travel like contributing to sustainable coffee farms, turtle conservation efforts or contributing to local community initiatives.

As a volunteer traveller, you'll also demonstrate to future employers that you're actively engaged in broadening your cultural awareness, you're passionate about sustainability and community development, and you're a true team player. Plus, on many of IVHQ's volunteer programs, we have language lessons set up to work around your volunteering schedule, giving you the confidence to communicate effectively at your placement and homestay while enhancing your learning possibilities.

IVHQ volunteers also have the opportunity to combine rewarding volunteer work with awesome weekend adventures. With a wide range of work available in 40 different countries, we have volunteer opportunities to match all skill sets, and destinations to treat all traveller types.

International Volunteer HQ volunteer program fees include airport pick-up, orientation, accommodation, meals and 24/7 in-country support. Volunteers also receive dedicated support from a volunteer expert, access to online volunteer training and a comprehensive volunteer program guide.
