With Kaya we work with every individual to help match you to the placement that is right for you, and right for the community you are visiting. Our placements are flexible in length, available all year round and have work that can accommodate for people with experience or studies in an area, as well as those that are hard working and eager to learn. We work within the fields of environmental and wildlife conservation inland and in the seas, as well as in community development projects - including work with education, child care, sports development, women's empowerment, building, micro-finance, working with disadvantaged groups and a variety of other areas. You can also find structured internships in organisations making a difference, to gain work experience in the fields of marketing, journalism, healthcare, business development, veterinary work and many other specialised areas.

The idea behind Kaya is to bring together the quality and impact of grassroots projects with the breadth of choice, quality of structure and organisation and level of service that enables everyone the opportunity to contribute to positive action and enjoy traveling the world more responsibly. Working with existing, locally-led, sustainable projects we are in regular contact with the local teams ensuring genuine quality placements, in line with Kaya's mission statement.
