About MBDA

We work with purpose, knowing that every advancement provides better, smarter and more effective defence capabilities to the UK and their allies.

Whether it’s designing a future concept for the British Army, managing the procurement of a missile component or harnessing their expertise in software in order to integrate one of our products on to the newest fighter jet, all of our employees are a part of delivering a more secure tomorrow.

Regarded as one of the most trusted suppliers of defence solutions in Europe, we have a relationship with the UK military spanning back over 70 years. We design, produce and maintain the missile systems that help to protect our skies, land and seas, ensuring that our armed forces hold the advantage in any situation.

Life at MBDA

We believe our graduates are the future of defence and for this reason, invest heavily in both their professional and personal development. Joining us, you will have the opportunity to make the most of your talents whilst following a structured programme, designed to give you the tools you need for an exciting and successful career. If you want to experience life at MBDA before graduating, we also offer summer placement and 10 month sandwich year placements.

Our graduate programmes give you the opportunity to find out where your passion lies through six month placements, whilst we actively support and fund you working towards a professional qualification with the IMA, IMeche, IoP, RAeS or CIMA. We match all of our graduates with a Mentor, carefully selected to help you build your skill-set and make the right decisions for your future career, so you will have somebody to offer support and guidance from the very first day. In addition to this we run a number of formal and informal training opportunities throughout the programme.

When it comes to the local community and social scene, our graduates play an active part in both. We work hard to make the lives of those around us better with volunteer days and dedicated Charity Committees active at each of our sites. The MBDA Sports and Social clubs offer a diverse range of activities, so you will be sure to find people who share your interests.

We received the highest rating for work-life balance in the Sunday Times 25 Best Big Companies To Work For 2019 and our employees can enjoy flexible working around core hours with the chance to finish at 12:30pm on Fridays, the option to purchase 5 days additional holiday as well as accrue up to 15 flexi-days leave a year giving you the opportunity to have more time to do the things you enjoy outside work.
