Schneider Electric’s Level 4 Manufacturing & Technical Engineering Apprentice Pathway offers the opportunity for Apprentices to gain experience within areas of Quality Management, Manufacturing and Engineering.

What Apprenticeship Opportunities does this Pathway offer?

Test Engineer Inspection Apprentice (Scarborough, Plant Based)

Undertake a 4-year programme at Schneider’s Scarborough site where you will be provided with on-the-job training in quality management whilst working towards a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Qualification delivered by Derwent Training.

Methods Engineer Apprentice (Telford, Plant Based)

Undertake a 4-year programme at Schneider’s Telford site where you will be provided with on-the-job training in methods engineering whilst working towards a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Qualification delivered by Shrewsbury College.

Engineering Manufacturing Technician Apprentice (Plymouth, Plant Based)

Undertake a 4-year programme at Schneider’s Plymouth site where you will be provided with on-the-job training in the manufacturing of products whilst working towards a Level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Technician Qualification delivered by City College Plymouth.

Field Services Representative Apprentice (National, Travelling Appointment)

Undertake a 3-year programme where you will be provided with on-the-job training in electrical engineering whilst working towards a Level 4 Electrical Power Networks Engineer Qualification delivered by Loughborough College.

What qualifications do you need?

This Pathway is open to applicants with 5 GCSEs including Maths, English and a STEM-related Subject at Grade 4/C or above.

For the Test Engineer Inspection Apprenticeship Opportunity, a Level 3 Engineering Qualification (BTEC/Apprenticeship) with a minimum overall Grade of Merit and at least a Merit in Level 3 Maths is also required.

For the Methods Engineer Apprenticeship Opportunity, a Level 3 Engineering Qualification (BTEC/Apprenticeship) is also required.

For the Field Services Representative Apprenticeship Opportunity, a Level 3 Engineering Qualification (BTEC/Apprenticeship) or A-Level Maths and Physics at Grade C or above is also required.

Please note, Qualification Requirements can be ‘predicted’, however, must be ‘actual’ by the start date on September 2nd, 2024.

Training

Schneider’s apprenticeship roles are crafted to foster innovation and practical skills meaning you'll gain key industry knowledge/experience recognised by professionals within the field.

As part of this pathway, you’ll undertake one of the following Level 4 apprenticeship programmes: Electrical Power Networks Engineer or Engineering Manufacturing Technician.

Please refer to the ‘Schneider Electric Apprentice Role Guide' featured within this vacancy to discover which Level 4 apprenticeship programme supports each individual role.

You'll also be assigned a 'Buddy' that will act as an additional support point. Your Buddy may be past or current Early Career employee or an experienced team member.
