The growth mindset

Rebecca Fielding, founder and managing director at Gradconsult will introduce you to the concept of growth mindset in this session. Growth mindset is being increasingly used by employers to both recruit and develop graduates. Your mindset is described as 'a mental attitude that determines how you interpret and respond to situations' (Carol Dewck, 2007). By becoming more aware of, and working on, your mindset (including your self-talk and self-limiting beliefs) you can accelerate your personal development at the start of your career.

Getting women into STEM

Slowly but surely the gender gap in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) industries is narrowing but more work still needs to be done to encourage women into STEM careers.
