Course content

This course offers an intensive, hands-on introduction to the convergent fields of Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). With a focus on VR, you will explore the core principles of immersive media, which extends towards Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR). You will also learn how AI technologies play a new and unique role in design and development through these media.

The curriculum covers key concepts such as immersion, presence, storytelling, human-centered design, and audio design within virtual environments. A strong emphasis is placed on the practical application of AI tools for prototyping, and data analysis in VR/AR projects. Through a blend of lectures, workshops, and a culminating group project, students will develop the foundational skills to create their own immersive experiences.
