An Honours Degree 2:2 (minimum). Degrees in law, the social sciences, or other similar subjects are preferred. Those from other disciplines or with suitable professional experience will be considered on an individual basis. Equivalent international qualifications are acceptable especially if ECTS evidence is available. The Aberystwyth LLM in Law is your opportunity to build a world-class course of study in law which suits your needs and interests. The LLM in Law is designed so that it allows you the flexibility to choose an unrestricted package of modules from those available within the Aberystwyth Law School. You can even choose up to 20 credits of study modules from outside the department, enabling you to further tailor your LLM to your wider-ranging interests.
All of the LLM courses and modules at Aberystwyth are constructed to develop your cognitive abilities as well as enhance your knowledge. In every course available to you, the study of legal theory is always balanced with the investigation of an array of fascinating case studies to illuminate your study and put you in touch with an authentic experience of legal cases.
The LLM in Law will challenge you to direct your own study amid a fascinating array of options. You will be able to choose from areas of law including the environment, human rights, international business, commerce, technology and many more.
