Normally a first or second class (2:1 or 2:2) BSc (Hons) degree in a relevant science-based subject.
Examples of relevant subjects include sport and exercise science, sports rehabilitation, sports therapy, human biology, biomedical sciences, anatomy and physiology.
Alternatively, an existing qualification in nursing, midwifery or relevant Allied Health Profession (e.g: osteopathy or chiropractic).
Months of entry
The MSc in Physiotherapy (Pre-registration) is a qualifying course for graduates with a suitable and relevant first degree seeking to train as a Physiotherapist. The course is two years full-time, starting in September.
The aim of the course is to provide a challenging and rewarding educational experience that enables students to develop as competent, evidence-based and patient-centred physiotherapy practitioners, capable of making a valuable contribution to their chosen workplace.
As part of the course you will experience a range of diverse and exciting placements including our own on-site healthcare-focused clinic, where you will gain a variety of experiences with a wide range of client groups, under the guidance of skilled clinicians.
Each student will gain experience of physiotherapy within various clinical and private practice settings. With the support of clinical educators, students will treat patients, observe experienced clinicians and participate in all aspects of care including case conferences, ward rounds and home visits.
