About Aston University

Founded in 1895 and a University since 1966, Aston has a strong focus on innovation in teaching and excellence in research and employability.

High quality careers guidance, education and information services are delivered through individual appointments, group sessions and online education services. The Careers Service has extensive links with national and international graduate employers as well as smaller and local employers.

English language support

International students can benefit from free English language support tutorials provided by the Centre for English Language and Communication at Aston

(CELCA). Our friendly and supportive staff can help to improve your accuracy and fluency when using spoken and written English; teach you how to write academic assignments and improve your pronunciation

Facilities and support arrangements

The University Library offers a welcoming and flexible space for group and individual study. The library has four floors and contains 150,000 volumes with over 1,000 reader places. There is online access to over 50,000 electronic journals in all subject areas and all journals, e-books and other key online information. (including library and study resources, IT and family support).

Accommodation

Aston University offers a superb environment for postgraduate study. Our compact and sustainable campus is situated in the middle of the City of Birmingham, and our new £215 million Aston Student Villages development provides top quality accommodation for Aston students.
