Entry requirements

A good UK honours degree (2.1 minimum) or equivalent within finance, economics or related business subject areas. Applicant must also be able demonstrate quantitative and analytical skills within previous studies or work experience.

Our MSc Finance will equip you with the financial knowledge and technical skills to kick-start a successful and rewarding career in the financial sector.

You’ll develop your understanding of corporate finance, asset valuation, investment management and risk management techniques. We will enhance your analytical and quantitative skills and you’ll gain valuable experience using industry-leading software in our state-of-the-art trading room.

Our MSc in Finance programme is recognised as an affiliated degree by CFA Institute through their University Affiliation Program. As a result, our MSc in Finance programme has been acknowledged as incorporating at least 70 percent of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) and placing emphasis on the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice. This recognition signals to potential students, employers, and the marketplace that our curriculum is closely tied to professional practice and is well-suited to preparing students to achieve the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation, which has become the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world. Through this partnership, Aston University has the ability to offer up to seven scholarships each year for students taking the CFA exams.
