Entry requirements

A 2:1 UG degree, or MSc, from a related subject area (e.g., sport and exercise, sports coaching, strength and conditioning, sports science, physical education, osteopathy, physiotherapy)

OR

b. A 2:2 UG or relevant work-related experience from a related subject area (e.g. sport and exercise, sports coaching, strength and conditioning, sports science, physical education, osteopathy, physiotherapy) will be considered on a case-by-case basis (e.g. personal statement, CV, references, informal meeting).

IELTS overall score of 6.5, with no less other element lower than a 5.5

A current satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required. Where you do not already have this you can apply for this check through the University. For more information please see CCCU DBS requirements.

Throughout the duration of the course, students have a duty to inform the course director as soon as they are aware, if there are any changes to their good character. Annual declarations of ‘good character’ will also be required throughout the duration of the course as per regulatory requirements. Potential breaches of professional conduct will be subject to the fitness to practice procedures, as per standard process. See CCCU DBS requirements.

It is also a condition of registration that prospective students undertake an Occupation Health screen to ensure that they are fit to practice. This online health screen establishes your vaccination status and boosters may be offered if needed in readiness for any NHS placements.

This new and engaging practical course from Canterbury Christ Church University, offers you the opportunity to explore the underpinning science associated with physical activity, sports injury recognition, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.

Accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators (BASRaT), the multidisciplinary nature of our MSc will ensure you are developed into a well-grounded graduate equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful entry into a range of graduate careers in the sport and fitness industries, NHS, Ministry of Defence, and further avenues of study.
