About De Montfort University

We have invested £136 million transforming our campus into a modern, inspiring environment. We continually improve our facilities, working with industry to ensure equipment and workspaces replicate those used by professionals.

Our £8 million leisure centre has a 25m pool, sauna, climbing wall, sports hall, fitness suite, weights area and dance studio and The Watershed is our home for activities including rowing, five-a-side football, badminton, netball, basketball, indoor hockey, indoor cricket and volleyball – and a space for our many societies to meet.

In the Hugh Aston Building, the Bloomberg Trading Room give students access to the same information as leaders in business, finance and government, bringing the real world of work into the classroom.

From laboratories to art studios, study spaces and seminar rooms to lecture theatres, we prioritise modern technologies and equipment to prepare students for the future.

Research Excellence Framework: We’ve invested significantly in research staff, so we can build on the Research Excellence Framework results that almost 60 per cent of our research is world-leading.
