Entry requirements

The most important consideration is that you are able to study successfully. Applications to join the MBA Programme often come from a range of backgrounds and disciplines including science, technology and other non business related fields. In general, applicants will meet the following broad criteria. Academic Qualifications: An Undergraduate Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years appropriate full time work experience. An Undergraduate Honours degree and at least 2 years appropriate full time work experience. If you do not hold the required level of academic qualification, you may be considered if you have maturity and evidence of substantial appropriate work experience (five years plus). If you have Part Time work experience, this may be considered if the accumulation of working time provides you with sufficient amounts and levels to merit consideration. International Gained Qualification: If your qualification was gained outside the UK, we will support applications by comparing the equivalent standards between the UK Higher Education system and the institution from which your degree or equivalent was obtained. English Language Requirement: All modules and programmes are provided and taught in English. It is therefore essential, if English is not your first language, that you have the following minimum IELTSor TOEFL scores (or equivalent), or that your previous degree studies were in English. ​IELTS: ​6.0 with no element below 5.5 ​ ​TOEFL: TOEFL 550, ​TOEFL (computer based) 213, ​TOEFL (Internet based) 79/80 References: A work reference is a requirement for all programme applicants. Academic references are acceptable always in addition (or accompanied with) to a work reference.

This course will appeal to leaders and managers from a range of backgrounds and experience in public, private and voluntary sectors, and is suited to graduates or business professionals with a number of years of work experience. It is also suited to individuals looking for a formal qualification to consolidate their experiential knowledge. Our MBA students have traditionally come from a range of backgrounds including health, social care, engineering, police, GPs, business consultants and those who have decided to take a career break or who wish to change career direction.

Many potential MBA students find it impossible to step out of their career to continue studies, this online course has been designed to fit your needs by offering the opportunity to study at a time, place and pace that fits in with your personal and professional commitments.

Our MBA will further develop and enhance your specific business competence in all areas of study. It will develop your ability to examine and analyse the impact of the constantly evolving environment both at national and international level. The course will further enable you to respond timely and appropriately at operational and strategic level. Our MBA is designed to promote the development of intellectual capability, research skills and creative thinking in order that you can generate original solutions to management problems, and also provide you with the platform to continue your personal and professional development.

You will be able to study on a part-time basis, at a pace which best suits your individual needs. However normally we would expect you to complete within 18 months to two years.
