Entry requirements

The entry requirement for this course is a UK Honours degree at 2:2 or above. We look for applicants to have a background in any discipline in order to be eligible for the programme. We may also consider applicants who have completed a Bachelor (Ordinary) degree if you have sufficient relevant work experience within the industry. There may also be an additional essay requirement if you apply with less than an Honours degree, this would be confirmed on submission of the application to the Admissions Team.

Course content

This course is studied full-time over one year and is split up into three trimesters. You will learn by a variety of teaching methods including lectures, tutorials, seminars, laboratory sessions and through independent study.

Trimester 1

  • Strategic Management (Built Environment & Engineering), Law & Administration, Building Economics. Successful completion will qualify you for a Postgraduate Certificate.

Trimester 2

  • Production Management, Procurement Strategy, Property Development. Successful completion will qualify you for a Postgraduate Diploma.

Trimester 3

  • MSc Project, an independent and focused piece of industry relevant research. On successful completion you will be awarded a masters degree.

Information for international students

If English is not your first language, it is usually required that you sit an English language test in order to gain entry onto our postgraduate programmes. This course requires the standard IELTS 6.0 with no individual component score of less than 5.5 or equivalent.
