Entry requirements

A first or second class honours degree in a suitable subject with a numerate background. Equivalent overseas qualifications will also be considered. Applicants for whom English is not their first language and who do not already hold a degree in which the teaching was in English must satisfy the university minimum requirements for competence in English. These are: TOEFL 213 points (550 points on the old scale); IELTS at grade 6.5, or; Cambridge Proficiency Certificate of English grade C.

Course content

The multi-disciplinary MSc Energy programme offers modules relevant to energy resources, power generation, process engineering, environmental legislation and environmental impact assessment, energy in buildings, as well as MBA business modules from the internationally recognised Edinburgh Business School. The unique course flexibility allows students to tailor the content and structure to their specific needs.

The aims of the programme are to provide a practical and theoretical grounding in technologies and wider knowledge and skills relevant to the Energy sector, for the practicing Engineer as well as Decision-making managers and Policy makers. Available at both Edinburgh and Dubai campuses.
