With Heriot-Watt based in Edinburgh our new MSc in Economics, Banking and Finance builds upon this reputation with an exciting programme of study gives equal emphasis to the study of economics, banking and finance.

The programme is informed by recent developments in research, and encourages the development of professional skills and advanced communication skills. The structure of the programme is designed to provide graduates with access to a range of professions and managerial careers within banks, businesses, non-government organisations and (national and international) government institutions. Alongside the practical skills and knowledge acquired, students will also engage in independent research

If your first language is not English, or your first degree was not taught in English, we’ll need to see evidence of your English language ability. The minimum English language requirement for entry to this programme is IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent) with no component lower than 6.0.
