Entry requirements

If you have completed the Applied Knowledge level, the final level of AAT, or the Foundation Diploma, you will start studying at the Applied Skills Level.

You can check whether you're eligible and should apply for any exemptions on the ACCA website before you start applying.

Course content

The Applied Skills level equips you with a broad understanding of the role of accounting in business, and how to interpret financial information. You'll build on your existing knowledge and gain strong practical finance skills that accountants can use in any organisation. You must pass all six mandatory computer based exams to complete this level, which take place four times per year. You can complete this level in 12 to 18 months.

Fees and funding

You have several options for paying your course fees, including debit or credit card. If you're already working in a related field, your employer may fund your studies to support your professional development. Alternatively, you can spread the cost over 12 months with an interest-free payment plan, available when purchasing all subjects in a level. Employers looking to upskill their organisation can also register as a Kaplan client to facilitate staff training and education.
