Entry requirements

2:1 BA degree with honours in Classics, Classical Studies, Classical Civilisation, Ancient History, Archaeology, or a related subject such as English, History, Modern Languages, Philosophy and Religious Studies.

Applicants must be able to read texts in Latin and/or Greek.

In order to meet the academic entry requirements for this programme you should have a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree with a final mark of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme. If you are still studying you should be achieving an average of at least 60% or above in the UK marking scheme.

Course content

This course gives you the opportunity to study the classical world in one of the UK’s largest Classics departments, with a focus on Greek and Latin language and literature. It is an intercollegiate course enabling you to take a wide range of options taught at King’s, UCL and Royal Holloway. You can take advantage of our close links to the Institute of Classical Studies, one of the UK’s best Classics libraries.

It leads to further research or careers in education, journalism, finance, politics and cultural sectors.
